Snow forecast embed code

Click the button for your market below to copy the embed code you need for your local snow forecast map. Then use a Custom HTML widget in Composer to place the code.

IMPORTANTS:

• Add the tag @exfbia to your article
• Include a link to www.market.com/premium/snow under your map, reading something like "See a larger view of this map"
• The @meter tag is strongly encouraged by DCR on all articles containing this map (except Alabama).

You may wish to include instructions like these in your body copy:

"The snowfall forecast map above predicts snowfall expected over a 72-hour period. It updates automatically every hour. Click the left and right arrows or move the slider to see the hour-by-hour forecast. Click anywhere on the map to see the forecast total. You can get specific forecasts for your neighborhood by entering your address in the search field."

The default map is snow expected in the next 72 hours, but you can change that timeframe by changing the number of hours in the code from ?end=72 to ?end=48 for 48 hours, etc.

It works best if you use increments of 3, since each animated map step is 3 hours when the end url parameter is <=24hr, then every 6 hours if the end parameter is > 24.
